Landscaping Services: Working With Nature
After many years operating as Bread & Roses Nursery, we have merged our landscaping, plant, and produce businesses under the name Mavourneen Farm. We offer holistic landscape consultation, design, and installation services to the Bloomington, Indiana area. Mavourneen landscaping is led by designer Jonas Carpenter. Our team is small but mighty and known for attention to detail, strong work ethic, artistry, and respect for the natural world.
Our work is rooted in permaculture design– creating landscapes that are ecological and regenerative. We help transform properties into diverse and productive spaces that help build resiliency into our homes and community. By investing in this kind of land stewardship you can give back to the broader ecosystem by creating habitat for wildlife, increasing local food security, and more.
In addition to design and plantings, we also love landscape construction projects. Our woodwork includes garden and perimeter fencing, cedar raised beds, pergolas and arbors, and screening panels. Our stonework includes patios, pathways, freestanding and retaining walls, as well as raised beds. Our water management work includes rain gardens, dry creek ways, and general rocked drain ways.
