Peter Bane, Rhonda Baird and Keith Johnson have been teaching the Indiana University Permaculture Design Course since 2002. This course is taught through the Collins Living and Learning Center and the Religious Studies Department. Thank you to David Haberman for making this into a practical reality for so many for so long.
In 2012, the course moved from its previous home at the Lazy Black Bear in Paoli, Indiana, to the White Violet EcoJustice Center at Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.
In 2014, the course is migrating further north onto a permaculture farm near Lafayette, Indiana. This site provides an ideal setting for absorbing and beginning to practice permaculture design. The beautiful settings (prairie, forest, farm, and small river) and delightful people committed to their vision of practicing permaculture add to the integrity and depth of this course.
In addition to our experienced teaching team of Peter Bane, Keith Johnson, and Rhonda Baird, we are joined by Marie Fleming and Jonas Carpenter (both former PDC students, graduates of Permaculture Teacher Training, and now apprentice teachers).
The course for 2014 runs from May 25-June 8
in West Lafayette. To register for the course as a non-student Contact the registrar for a packet.
